Partnership Opportunities

APC is committed to working with Indigenous communities throughout Australia so that as many Indigenous parents and carers as possible can experience what IPF has to offer them and their children.

The IPF workshops are provided at a cost which includes our trainers and all training and workshop materials as well as follow up support.

Participation in IPF assists parents and carers in becoming familiar with how children learn, how teachers teach reading, writing and/or numeracy and how parents can do their part in helping their children’s literacy and numeracy development at home even prior to attendance at compulsory school. The workshops also give parents a common language with schools, to assist them to feel more comfortable in discussions with school staff about their own children’s language and literacy development. Experience of IPF can also serve as a bridge for Indigenous parents and carers to participate in more structured programs such as the Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) and in initiatives such as the Children and Family Centres.

We welcome partnership inquiries from Indigenous community leaders, school leaders and organisations looking for an established, proven and innovative program to enhance their local community parent engagement strategies.
